Privacy Policy
Last updated: February 21, 2026
Eppie AI ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Eppie AI platform, website, and services (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in through a third-party provider (e.g., Google), we receive your name and email from that provider.
Profile and Memory Information
To personalize calls, you provide information about your Loved One, including their name, stories, memories, family members' names, hobbies, and preferences. This information is submitted voluntarily by you and is used solely to power the companion call experience.
Usage and Device Information
We automatically collect certain technical information when you use the Service, including your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages visited, and timestamps. This data helps us maintain and improve the Service.
Call Metadata
We may collect basic call metadata such as call timestamps, duration, and completion status. This is used to provide call summaries and service analytics.
Information We Do NOT Collect
We do not record, store, or retain call audio, voice recordings, or call transcripts. Calls are processed in real-time by our AI systems and are not saved after the call ends. We do not collect voice biometric data. We do not collect financial information directly — payment processing is handled by third-party providers.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, personalize, and improve the companion call service.
- Manage your account and authenticate your identity.
- Generate AI-powered call content based on your memory profiles.
- Provide call summaries and insights to account holders.
- Communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
- Monitor and improve the performance, security, and reliability of the Service.
- Comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your personal information to train AI models. We do not sell your personal information.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share your information with:
- Service providers — Third-party providers that help us deliver the Service, including cloud hosting, AI/language model providers, telephony services, and payment processors. These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
- Legal requirements — When required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
- Business transfers — In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties.
4. AI and Automated Processing
The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate personalized call conversations. When a call is placed, information from your memory profile is processed by our AI systems to generate real-time conversation content. This processing occurs in real-time and call content is not stored after the call concludes.
Our AI providers may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies. We select providers that offer appropriate data protection commitments.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and maintain your session. We may also use analytics cookies to understand how the Service is used. You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may affect Service functionality.
6. Data Retention
We retain your information as follows:
- Account information — Retained for as long as your account is active, plus 30 days after deletion to allow for account recovery.
- Memory profiles — Retained for as long as your account is active and deleted within 30 days of account closure.
- Call metadata — Retained for up to 12 months for service analytics, then automatically deleted.
- Call audio — Not retained. Calls are processed in real-time and no recordings are stored.
- Usage data — Retained in aggregated, anonymized form for up to 24 months.
7. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
